Session 1
God as Patriarch
God, from Genesis 1, is forming Patriarchs. In the first acts of God in Genesis, God is fruitful and God exercises dominion. Then God tells man and woman, you be fruitful, you have dominion. God is the perfect model of Fatherly leadership.
Session 2
The Fruitful & Flawed Patriarchy of the Old Testament Patriarchs
All of the main characters in Genesis, and most of the main characters in the Old Testament are fathers. They are men who had direct contact with God, sexual relations with their wives, and fatherly authority over the instruction and training of their children. Scripture is full of stories about dads. Sometimes their leadership was fruitful. Other times it was severely flawed.
Session 3
Fatherly Leadership Today
One of the first lessons about Divine Patriarchy is that God creates man, gives him freedom, and then requires him to be active. As Catholic men can get comfortable doing those exercises at Patriarch, they will begin to exercise biblical prayer, biblical reading, applying the word, and personal-vocal prayer at home with their wives and with their children. And that will change the next generation.
Session 3 can conclude with the launching of Patriarch Men's Groups using the Genesis 1 Pilot Session
